Jan Vandooren appointed South Asia VP of Volvo Buses

Bangalore, Mar 6 (UNI) Volvo in India today announced the appointment of Jan Vandooren as South Asia Vice-President for Volvo Buses, with effect from March one.

Mr Vandooren would take over from Mr Akash Passey, who would move on to take a wider role within Volvo Bus Corporation, Business Region International, as the Director for Business, Strategy and Operational Development based at Sweden. Other than India, his new responsibilities include markets in SAARC Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Pakistan and Mauritius, the company said in a release here.

Prior to joining Volvo, Mr Vandooren had a 25-year-long experience in the bus industry and public transport related projects with Sunwin Corporation and Belgian bus builder Jonckheere, the release said.
