Giant door for Hanuman temple

Pondicherry, Mar 6 (UNI) The sanctum sanctorium of the Panchavadi Anjaneyar Temple near here will soon have a giant door.

According to Temple Managing Trustee Ramani Anna said they will install the door as part of 'kumbabhishekam' arrangments of the temple where 36 foot tall idol of Lord Anjaneyar had been installed.

For the purpose, Burma teak from a 100-year-old tree from Elangi near Shenkottai in Tirunelveli district was brought to Panchavadi yesterday.

Work on the 36 ft single door will soon begin, he added.
