Kohima, Mar 6 (UNI) The Chakhesang Public Organisation (CPO), the apex official body of Chakhesang tribe, has banned the establishment of any camp of underground organisations within the periphery of Chakhesang public habitation.

A press release issued by CPO president Vedayi Nekha and general secretary Kewekhalo Thopi said the organisation had resolved to disallow movement of cadres of any underground faction in public places in combat uniforms with arms for sake of peace and tranquility.

It said cadres of any underground faction would also not be allowed to collect 'taxes' from the public.

Maintaining that it stood for abrogation of the Shillong Accord by the FGN(federal government of Nagaland), the powerful CPO asked the inmates of the transit camp to vacate it and ''go to alternative peace camp in the greater interest of unity and understanding of the people''.
