BRFL acquires garments manufacturing unit in Navi Mumbai

Mumbai, Mar 6 (UNI) Garments manufacturing major Bombay Rayon Fashions Limited (BRFL) has acquired a garment manufacturing unit at Navi Mumbai with a capacity of 0.45 million pieces of garments per annum.

Approval for the same was given at the company's board of directors meeting held today in Mumbai, a release issued here today stated.

The company has also commenced commercial production of its new garment unit situated at Bangalore which has an installed capacity for manufacturing 7.8 million pieces of garments per annum.

The company has now expanded the scope of its project located in the apparel park at Doddaballapur near Bangalore by setting up a new garment facility and doubling the capacity of yarn dyeing and weaving and putting up a four MW co-generation captive power plant.

The total cost after the new plan is estimated at Rs 46.72-crore.

stated the release, adding that it will be financed by term loans under the TUFS and the funds raised from its IPO.
