3 dead, 2 injured in stampede at New Delhi Railway station
New Delhi, Mar 6 (UNI) Three persons died and two were injured following a stampede in a Darbhanga-bound train at the New Delhi Railway station here last night.
Railway sources said the stampede occurred due to confusion in the general compartment of the New Delhi-Darbhanga Swatantra Senani Express at 2230 hrs even as the train was being placed on the track, after arriving at platform number five.
In the ensuing stampede, three people died while two were injured, the sources said.
The two injured were admitted to the railway hospital. One of the injured was discharged this morning, the sources said.
