2nd unit of NTPC becomes operational
Kahalgaon, Mar 6 (UNI) The second unit of National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) which was dysfunctional for the last one week, started functioning today.
Official sources said that this unit was closed following some technical snag. The total generation capacity was raised by 210 MW to 840 MW after its second unit became functional.
Sources said that sufficient stock of coal was available for smooth functioning of the entire thermal power station.
Power supply to Bihar and other North eastern states had been restored, sources added.
