Two criminals injured in encounter

Patna, Mar 5 (UNI) Two criminals were injured in an encounter with a sleuth of local police at Churi Bazar Mohalla under Kadamkuan police station here today.

Police said acting on a tip off, a team of local police rushed to the spot where criminals were indulging in snatching from the pedestrians.The criminals exploded bombs when they saw that police were approaching them.

Police had to fire in self-defence in which one criminal sustained bullet injuries. Another criminal sustained serious injuries when the local people beat him severely.

Three live bombs were recovered from the injured criminals.

All the injured anti-socials had been admitted to Patna Medical College Hospital, police added.

Both the anti-socials were stated to be residents of Danapur locality of the district, police said.
