Trader shot dead, Rs 5 lakh looted

Sitapur, Mar 5 (UNI) In a daylight robbery, unidentified miscreants today shot dead a 'pan masala' trader under Ataria area here and decamped with Rs 5 lakh.

Police said Shiv Kumar Jaiswal was travelling in a four-wheeler on the Lucknow-Delhi national highway when he was accosted by the assailants.

However, when Jaiswal offerred resistance, he was shot dead.

Meanwhile, senior cops had rushed to the spot and investigations were on.
