Panaji, Mar 5 (UNI) Riding on a fine brace by Man-of-the-Match Nigerian Dudu Omagbhemi, title aspirant Sporting Club de Goa trounced Fransa Pax 3-0 and maintained their unbeaten race in the ONGC 10th edition National Football league championship match played at Duler ground in Mapusa today.

All the three goals for Sporting came in the second half -- through Dudu in the 51st and 56th minutes, and Bibian Fernandes in the 86th minute.

With today's win, Sporting jumped on to the second spot with 13 points, behind league leader Mahindra United who have 16 points.

East Bengal were relegated to third spot with 12 points. Fransa remained on the same two points from as many matches.

After a barren first half, Sporting played with renewed vigour and shot into the lead in the 51st minute through Dudu Omaghbehmi who, after collecting a pass from Bibian Fernanades, unleashed a shot over the head of Fransa goalkeeper to make it 1-0.

Inspired by the lead, Sporting continued to attack and within next five minutes increased their lead again through Dudu off a penalty goal. Referee Dinesh Nair awarded a spot kick to Sporting in the 56th minute when Fransa's Bello Rasaq brought down Dudu in the danger zone. Dudu himself converted the spot kick correctly to make it 2-0.

Sporting fixed the last nail in Fransa's coffin in the 86th minute through Bibian Fernandes who made it 3-0. The goal was a result of a fine combined move when Bibian Fernandes passed to Dudu, who back-passed and Bibian deceived rival defender and goalkeeper and shot into the net.
