Sparks delay two trains on Line I of Delhi Metro
New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) Two trips of the Metro train on Line I, running between Shahdara and Rithala, were delayed after fire sparks were detected in the overhead wiring near Pulbangash station this afternoon.
The sparking was reported at about 1532 hrs near Pulbangash Metro Station soon after the train left Kashmere Gate station, according to the Metro spokesman.
Sparks were noticed when the train pantograph made contact with the overhead electrical wire after a cloth fell on it, he said.
The train was soon taken to the Shastri Park Depot for inspection and passengers transfered to another train which led to the delay of about ten minutes, the spokesman added.
