Shopkeeper arrested with 200 pirated CDs in HP
Dharamshala, Mar 5 (UNI) The Himachal Pradesh Police arrested a person and seized 200 pirated CDs and 20 pornographic CDs from his shop during a raid at his shop.
Kangra district police chief S P Singh said the owner of the shop, Rajesh Kumar, was arrested yesterday after a police party raid his shop and seized the pirated CDs.
He said more raids were being conducted in the district to arrest more the people involved in the racket.
A case has been registered and investigations were on, he added.
Mr Singh said four women, identified as Asha Kumari, Salochna, Kusum and Raksha Devi, were arrested from different parts of the district for their involvement in the spurious liquor trade.
More than 40,000 ml spurious liquor was also seized from them, he said, adding that a case had been registered against them under the Excise Act.
