Rising Pak star wants to emulate Sania

Lahore, Mar 5 (UNI) Saniamania seems to be gripping the other side of the border with Pakistan's young rising star Anoosha Aslam saying she wanted to emulate the Indian tennis icon.

Anoosha, who became the new Under-17 champion after beating two top seeds on her way to title, said Pakistan needed players like Sania to boost the sport in the country.

''I want to follow the footprints of Sania Mirza who generated great interest for tennis in cricket-crazy India,'' The Dawn today quoted her as saying after clinching her title in Karachi yesterday.
