One killed, sixty injured in road accident

Pondicherry, Mar 5 (UNI) One person was killed and 60 injured in a road accident at Cheyyur in Kanchipuram district of Tamil Nadu late last night.

According to police, a Pondicherry Road Transport Corporation bus on its way to Chennai collided head-on with a sand laden lorry and was hit by another lorry from behind.

The driver of the sand laden lorry died on the spot. Sixteen passangers of the bus were brought to the Pondicherry institute of medical science and admitted while the rest were treated as out-patients at the Kanchipuram government hospital.
