Man dies from bird flu in south China - Xinhua
HONG KONG, Mar 5 (Reuters) A 32-year-old man has died from the H5N1 bird flu virus in China's southern Guangdong province, the official Xinhua news agency said today quoting the Health Ministry.
The man, surnamed Lao, had symptoms of fever and pneumonia on February 22 and died on March 2, it said.
The symptoms appeared after the man made ''several visits to an agricultural market'' where he spent a long time near ''a live poultry slaughtering site'', it said.
