Kumar Gera, Aahad Khan wins Alfa Laval Golf Tourney

Pune, Mar 5 (UNI) Seasoned veteran Kumar Gera and teenager Aahad Khan won the 'Silver' and 'Bronze' division of the annual golf tournament of the Swedish Multinational Alfa Laval respectively, which was played at the par 71 Poona Club golf course here today.

Mr Gera playing regulation golf carded a net score of 44 to get the better off former Director General of Maharashtra police K K Kashyap who brought in a net score of 39 to be placed as the runner-up.

Talking to media persons, Mr Gera attributed his success to his vast experience of playing on the particular course.

In the 'Bronze' division Master Aahad Khan, son of former Maharashtra Hockey Captain Ikram Khan, shot into fame by producing a net score of 39 to capture the title.

The 12-year-old student of Erin Nagarwala School had lived up to his fathers reputation to have carved enriches for himself in the annals of Poona Golf.

Speaking on the occasion Alfa Laval Managing Director Nish Patel said going by the tradition Alfa Laval will not be found wanting in any way in the promotion of the annual event.

Following are the results: Division :Silver Kumar Gera 44 points winner; K K Kashyap 39 points runner-up.

Division-Bronze: Aahad Khan 39 points winner; J A Lokhandwala 38 points runner-up.

Best ladies score: Seema Singh 35 points winner; Padmaja Shirke 34 points runner-up.

Longest Drive on Hole No 1: Arvind Sethi( 250 Yards) winner.

Closest to the Pin on Hole No 16: Pramod Bakre ( 8 fit 6 inch) winner.

Best Junior Score: Aahad Khan 39 points winner.
