Kidnapper shot in encounter, businessmen freed

Koderama, Mar 5 (UNI) In a daring raid, state police today shot dead an abductor during an encounter in the forest areas between the district headquarters town and Jagandi and rescued a local businessman.

The businessman was kidnapped 10 days ago.

Police also recovered some weapons and ammunition from the spot.

The kidnapper had been identified as notorious criminal Mahendra Yadav. His gang had kidnapped stone crusher unit owner Bhatu Rana on February 25.
