Intel, Microsoft, NIIT and SBI Offer IT solutions to 10,000 schools

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) Intel India, Microsoft, NIIT and the State Bank of India today announced joint initiative to redefine IT and IT-assisted education to provide an ''integrated solution'' that will enhance the teaching, learning and examination processes in over 10,000 schools.

The holistic education package, being front-ended by NIIT, will address the needs of all the key stakeholders within the education rcalm-students, teachers, principals, the school managements and parents, integrating IT in schools requires the keen participation of each of these segments. NIIT will leverage its experience in training 1.4 million school learners to craft a ''complete'' IT-assisted training environment, a release said here today.

The solution, being rolled out by NIIT on turnkey basis, will blend the above offerings with technology from Intel and its partners, the software from Microsoft and an easy financing package from the State Bank of India. NIIT will also undertake the installation and support of the solutions.

As part of this initiative, Intel, with its cutting-edge technology, is creating an opportunity for schools to bring down the total cost of ownership and external reach through its Genuine Intel Dealer network, the release said.
