India eves trounce Kyrgyzstan 7-0 in U-19 AFC qualifiers

New Delhi, Mar 5 (UNI) Susmita Malik netted the first hat-trik of the tournamnet as hosts India began their campaign in style trouncing Kyrgyzstan 7-0 in the Group 3 qualification round of the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Under-19 Women's Football Championship at Ambedkar Stadium here today.

Malik scored four goals while Lal Varmmoi Hmar struck three goals for India, who led 3-0 at half time, and toyed with the Kyrgyzstan defence.

Hmar put India in the lead in the 11th minute and added another one in the 17th minute. Just three minutes before the interval (37th minute) striker Malik increased the lead to 3-0.

Down by three goals, Kyrgyzstan brought in Usupabaeva in place of Aizhan and pressed for a goal, but to no avail.

On changing ends, India effected three substitutions and brought in Tuli goon, Domiana Gomendes and Delhi girl Neha Kapoor in place of Alochana Senapati, Ngangom Bala Devi and Sanathoi Chingtham.

Spurred by the fresh legs, the hosts pressed for more goals and Malik scored India's fourth, fifth and sixth goals in the 46th, 70th and 78th miniutes.

Hmar rounded off the tally scoring hosts' last goal in the injury time (81st minute).

Kyrgyzstan will now meet Bangladesh on March 7.
