Four people died in a road accident

Jalpaiguri, Mar 5 (UNI) Four people had died in a road accident here yesterday.

Police said here today that they were residents of Barasholemari village under Coochbehar district.

They were coming to Jalplaiguri for treatment. A petrol tanker collided with the car they were travelling, police said.

Sashinath Barman (62), Basanta Barman(37), Sunil Burman(26) and Biren Barman (42) were spot dead. Tapas Barman (28), who sustained serious injuries, was rushed to a nursing home in Siliguri.

West Bengal Forest Minister Jogesh Barman visited the spot and hospital.

Police have tracked the tanker but the driver escaped. However they investigating into the matter.
