England set India 368 for victory; declare at overnight score of 297
Nagpur, Mar 5 (UNI) England set the target of 368 runs for India for a win on the final day of the first Test being played at the VCA ground here today.
The visitors today declared at their overnight score of 297 for three. The first innings lead of 70 runs swelled the England total to 367, thus setting India a target of 368 for victory.
India have to get these runs in 90 overs at an average of a little over four runs. With players like Virender Sehwag, Sachin Tendulkar and Mahendra Singh Dhoni in the team, along with captain Rahul Dravid, who can drop anchor as the target does seem get-at-able, but the chase would not be easy as the ball is turning out rough on the wicket.
