CM suspends engineer

Kosli, Andhra Pradesh, Mar 5: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy today suspended Superintendenting Engineer Subbaiah for misleading him on the progress of Alisagar Lift Irrigation Scheme.

Official sources here said the Chief Minister was reviewing the progress of 11 major and six medium and minor irrigation projects at the Alisagar Lift Irrigation Project site with 15 Collectors, engineers and other officials.

When Dr Reddy found the Mr Subbaiah had given him wrong information, he immediately instructed Principal Secretary C V S K Sharma to place the officer under suspension.
