Blasts force cancellation of train service on ECR

Visakhapatnam, Mar 5 (UNI) Following the Maoists triggered blasts at Bansi Railway Station in Chhattisgarh, near Kolleru, bordering Andhra Pradesh today, the East Coast Railway (ECR) terminated the Visakhapatnam-Kirandol Passenger train at Koraput in Orissa.

Its pairing train which was supposed to leave Kirandol at 0530 hrs was cancelled.

This is the only passenger train that plies on the route. However, goods train traffic was disrupted only for two hours.
