Blasting materials recovered in AP

Vijayawada, Mar 5 (UNI) police today recovered 50 kgs of gelatine sticks and 500 detonators from a house at Ashok Nagar here early today.

Police sources said acting on a tip off, a police team rushed to the house of one Subba Rao and recovered the blasting materials, kept on the roof of the bathroom.

However, Mr Rao, when questioned, alleged that somebody else might have kept the materials at his residence without his knowledge.

A case has been registered and an investigation was, underway, sources added.
