50-bed multi-speciality hospital inaugurated in Gulbarga

Gulbarga, Mar 5 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today inaugurated the 50-bed multi-speciality Dhanvantri Hospital and Ramesh Chandra Lahoti Medical Research Centre here today.

Inaugurating the hospital, he said all facilities and treatment procedures would be offered at the hospital for the benefit of Gulbarga residents.

Dhanvantri Charitable Trust Chairman Dr S Muralidhar Rao said the hospital and research centre was constructed at a cost of over Rs one crore by the Trust. The services of specialists from Hyderabad, Bangalore, Mumbai, Pune and other places would be used.

He said a child healthcare centre would be set up at the hospital in the next phase. The Trust proposed to seek permission to establish a nursing school next year, besides converting the hospital into a super-speciality cardiology institute.

KPCC President Mallikarjuna Kharge also participated.
