Striking Nagpur docs face termination threat
Nagpur, Mar 4 (UNI) Terminaation notices were served upon 98 striking resident doctors of the India Gandhi Medical college and Hospital (IGMCH) here.
Talking to UNI, IGMCH Dean Dr (Mrs) P S Pendharkar said the striking doctors were asked to resume their services with immediate effect else face termination. If the doctors do not resume their duties, action will be taken promptly by tomorrow, she said.
The outdoor and indoor medical services were not affected due to the strike, she claimed. Medical services were extended to the patients by deploying doctors from other health centres in Nagpur division, she added.
