Special police officer hacked to death
Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 4 (UNI) A special police officer (SPO) and a tribal were hacked to death and three others injured by naxalites in Dantewada district of Chhattisgarh, police said today.
The naxalites killed the SPO with a sharp-edged weapon and injured three others.
Tribal youths are appointed SPOs on fixed honorarium to assist the police in intelligence gathering and anti-naxalite operations in south Bastar area.
In another incident in Konta area, a youth, who was associated with anti-naxal movement 'Salwa Judum', was killed by naxalites, police added.
