PM visits Shekhawat at AIIMS

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today called on Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences to inquire about his health.

Official sources said the Dr Singh talked to Mr Shekhawat's daughter Ratan Kanwar and AIIMS Director Venugopal about the treatment administered to the Vice President who is likely to be discharged tomorrow. The octogenerian Vice President was admitted to the hospital for routine medical check-up after he contracted a viral fever two days ago.

Others who visited Mr Shekhawat include Rajasthan Governor Pratibha Patil, Leader of Opposition in Rajya Sabha Jaswant Singh, Health Minister Dr A Ramadoss, Minister of State for PMO Prithviraj Chauhan, Rajasthan Industries Minister Mr Narpat Rajvi and Parliamentarians Digvijay Singh and Narayan Singh Manaklao.
