People of K'taka to teach fitting lesson to new govt: Dharam
Bangalore, Mar 4 (UNI) Former Karnataka Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Legislative Assembly N Dharam Singh today said people of the state would soon teach a lesson to the new JD (S)-BJP coalition government in the state.
Speaking at the birth anniversary function of former Chief Minister R Gundurao, he said people were aware of the strange political developments taking place in the state and they would teach a fitting lesson to the new government at an appropriate time.
Paying rich tributes to Mr Gundurao, Mr Singh said the veteran leader had carried out several developmental works during his three-year rule.
Speaking on the occasion, Jnanpeeth awardee U R Ananthmurthy praised Mr Gundurao for the services rendered by him and called him a frank and honest leader.
Stating that the word secularism had lost its meaning in the current political scenario, he alleged that the present class of politicians were practising pseudo secularism.
Gujarat Governor Nawal Kishor Sharma also took part in the celebrations.
