One person killed by BSF for smuggling cows

Murshidabad, Mar 4 (UNI) One person was killed and another injured today when Border Security Force(BSF) personnel fired at them when they were trying to smuggling cows across the border to Bangladesh.

The victims were smuggling cows across the Kanapukur border outpost under Lalgola police station here when BSF jawans intercepted them. However, the two did not pay any heed and this forced the security personnel to fire at them.

The body has been sent for post mortem, police said.

When asked about the incident, Police Superintendent Niraj Kumar Singh said, ''We do not want to comment but we will investigate it in our own way''.
