No further wall grafitti by CPI-M workers : Anil Biswas

Kolkata, Mar 4 (UNI) CPI(M) state Secretary in West Bengal Anil Biswas today asked party cadres not to write new grafitti anywhere in the state before the coming elections and instead concentrate on house to house canvassing.

Issuing a statement after receiving Election Commisions reply about the laid down process of electioneering in the proposed five phased assembly elections in the state, Mr Biswas said a gezette notification about the 1976 act on the prevention of wall writing had already been published.

''Accordingly, we have asked our party cadres not to make any fresh grafitti in any of the 294 constituencies in the state'', Mr Biswas said, adding the party would soon publish a detailed circular elaborating the procedures of electioneering.

He also urged the workers to take the party manifesto, election slips and other election related party documents to every household.

Like every election, the coming polls had posed some new political challenges before the party and we appeal to our cadres to face them in the right manner, Mr Biswas pointed out.
