Tiruchirapalli, Mar 4: DMK President M Karunanidhi today (Mar 4, 2006) refused to comment on MDMK General Secretary Vaiko's decision to quit the Democratic Progressive Alliance (DPA) and join the ruling AIADMK in Tamil Nadu.

''I have nothing to say,'' said Mr Karunanidhi when newspersons approached him for his reaction.

DMK heads the DPA in the state in which MDMK was one of the allies. Congress, PMK, CPI, CPI(M) and IUML were the other constituents of the DPA.

Asked wehther Mr Vaiko was moving away from the DPA after he was dissatisfied with the allocation of 22 seats to contest the coming Assembly polls in the State, Mr Karunanidhi said 'I don't know'.

Mr Karunanidhi, refusing to field more questions, left for the conference venue.
