HC notices to Centre, Delhi govt in land grab case

New Delhi, Mar 4 (UNI) The Delhi High Court has issued notices to the Centre, the Delhi government,the Delhi Development Authority, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Police Commissioner in an alleged land grab case.

The division bench, comprising Justice Vijender Jain and Justice S N Agarwal, also ordered them to file their replies by August 11, the next date of hearing in the case pertaining to alleged misappropriation of over Rs 200 crore of public money to acquire agricultural pieces of land in Delhi and the National Capital Region.

The petition, filed by Utsav Vihar Resident Welfare Association (RWA) President Lokesh Srivastava through his counsel Sugriv Dubey, also alleged that government officials had connived with the land mafia and private builders to acquire the land.
