Free electricity to farmers by 2009: Munda

Chatra, Mar 4 (UNI) Jharkhand Chief Minister Arjun Munda today said the government would provide electricity to all villages by 2009.

Inaugurating Vikash Mela here, Mr Munda said free electricity would be provided to the farmers for the development of agriculture in the state.

The government would implement various schemes for the allround development of farmers and it was the second state after Maharashtra to cover the farmers under the insurance benefit scheme, he said.

Mr Munda further said the government has also decided to promote the herbal sector.
