Nagpur, Mar 4 (UNI) Greg Chappell has acknowledged receiving an e-mail from BCCI for his outburst against Sourav Ganguly but is yet to respond to the warning, Board Secretary Niranjan Shah said here today.

He also informed that BCCI has decided to dicuss the Cricket Association of Bengal (CAB) resolution, claiming Chappell has violated regulations while criticising Ganguly.

Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the first Test, Mr Shah said though Chappell has acknowleged receiving the e-mail in which he was asked not to make personal comments about any player, he was yet to explain his position as was asked.

Chappell in an interview had alleged, among other things, that Ganguly wanted to cling onto captaincy for financial reasons.

Mr Shah said that the BCCI were in receipt of a resolution sent by CAB and had also spoken to Ganguly on the same issue.

''The resolution forwarded by CAB would be discussed in the next general body meeting of the cricket board,'' he added.

Mr Shah also said that BCCI has no role to play now whatsover in the radio rights issue.

All India Radio has not been allowed to broadcast running commentary of the first Test, depriving thousands of listeners across the country as the radio rights had supposedly been sold to a private radio station.

Mr Shah said that since the BCCI has given the media and television and radio rights to Nimbus, they have no role to play in it.
