50,000 posts of teachers to be filled: Chouhan

Bhopal, Mar 4 (UNI) Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has announced that 50,000 vacant posts of teachers will be filled up in the next academic session.

''The BJP government is committed to fulfill its promise to change the face and fate of the state in the next three years and multi-pronged action has been initiated to achieve this goal,'' Mr Chouhan said after inaugurating the strengthening of 42 Km Sagar-Rehli road at a cost of Rs 25 crore at Sagar yesterday.

He said the sick bidi industry in the Bundelkhand region would be revived. A sugar mill is proposed to be set up at Garhakota, he added.

Keeping in view the present power shortage, efforts were being made to increase the generation by 2400 megawatt in three years, Mr Chouhan said.
