Third alternative to be realised soon: Naidu

Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President and former Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said the party would take initiative to form third alternative in the national politics with the conglomeration of regional parties.

Addressing the press, along with the Assam Gana Parishad (AGP) President Brindaban Goswami, Mr Naidu said yesterday the third alternative would be realised soon, which would strive for strengthening the secular fabric and cooperative federal approach in the country.

Stating the TDP was holding talks with regional parties to form the third front at the earliest, he said, ''This is high time to form an alternative political front at national level to fillup the political vacuum in the country.'' Observing that the regional parties were playing pivotal roles in national politics whereas the national parties like the Congress and the BJP were losing their power in most of the states, Mr Naidu said the left parties were also unhappy with the Congress-led UPA Government for anti-poor policies.
