Shekhawat admitted to AIIMS

New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) Vice President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences today, an official spokesman said.

The 81 year-old was admitted to the hospital for routine medical investigation, he said. The Vice-President was suffering from viral fever for the last two days.

He is likely to remain in hospital for 2-3 days.

Parliamentary Affairs Minister Priyaranjan Dasmunshi and Rajya Sabha Deputy Chairman K Rahman Khan were among those who called on the Vice-President at the hospital to enquire about his health.
