Resume duty ar face action: BMC to striking doctors
Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has issued notice to over 1,900 striking resident doctors warning them to resume their duty with immediate effect or face action.
According to an official release here today, the Corporation has issued the notice to doctors through the deans of respective hospitals.
Talking to UNI Additional Municipal Commissioner Vijaysinh Patankar said, ''We have drafted letter for de-registration of striking doctors. The letter would likely to be issued from tomorrow morning.'' The strike was intensified after doctors of six more medical colleges, outside Mumbai, extended their support.
