Rajnath demands central rule in UP
Lucknow, Mar 3 (UNI) Joining the tirade against the Mulayam Singh Yadav government in Uttar Pradesh, BJP President Rajnath Singh today demanded immediate imposition of President's rule in the state.
Mr Singh said UP had plunged into ''political crisis'' after the Allahabad High Court's verdict in the 40 rebel BSP MLAs case.
''The BJP vehemently demands Central rule in the state,''Mr Singh told reporters here.
The BJP President said the opposition parties should ensure that the next assembly polls in UP took place under President's rule. ''The true face of the the Samajwadi Party-led government was exposed during the recent panchayat elections, when it indulged in massive rigging,''he said.
