Pregnant woman commits suicide in Anand

Anand, Mar 3 (UNI) A 36-year-old pregnant woman, Kalpana Patel, today committed suicide by hanging herself from a ceiling fan, locking the room from inside, at Nadiad, near here.

Nobody was there at her residence in Kalakunj Housing Society when she took the extreme step, police said.

The couple had come to Anand from Mumbai about five years ago and, according to the neighbours, it appeared they had some family problems.
