Passenger arrested for assaulting an airport staff

Kolkata, Mar 03 (UNI) A passenger was arrested today at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International airport after he assaulted a staff of a private airlines following an altercation over tickets.

Airport officials said one D Chatterjee had a ticket for Spice Jet for travelling to Hyderabad which was scheduled to leave at 0540 hours.

The Spice Jet officials alleged that he arrived at 0510 hours and demanded the boarding pass for the flight.

Spice Jet officials, however, refused to give him any boarding pass on the ground that he had arrived late.

This followed a heated argument during which Mr Chatterjee was alleged to have hit S Bose of Spice Jet.

After Mr Bose complained to police, Mr Chatterjee was arrested.
