Opposition members stage walk out from Assembly

Patna, Mar 3 (UNI) Amid walk out by the opposition members, the Bihar government today said the education mafiosi were frusted as all their attempts to use 'unfair means' in examinations had been thwarted.

Replying on behalf of the government on the police firing near an examination centre in Gaya on March one, Bihar Energy Minister Bijendra Prasad Yadav said the government would give Rs 50,000 to the family of the person killed in the firing. He said a public distribution shop would also be provided to the bereaved family.

Mr Yadav said a group of people started pelting stones in protest against the strict vigilance enforced during the first day of the examination. He said the jawans of CRPF and BSF rushed to the spot when the mob opened fire and exploded bombs. He said the body of a person was later found near the spot. Some live bombs, remains of an 'used' bomb and cartridges were also found from the spot, he added.
