New train to follow the footsteps of Mahatma
New Delhi, Mar 3 (UNI) A special train linking all the places associated with Mahatma Gandhi will be introduced from Motihari in Bihar during 2006-07, Raiwlay Minister Lalu Prasad announced today.
Winding up the discussion on Demands for Grants on Account (Raiwlays) for 2006-07 in the Lok Sabha, he said ''the train will go wherever the Father of Nation had gone.'' He said the train was being introduced as a mark of respect to the Mahatma.
At Motihari, Mahatma Gandhi launched the famous agitation in favour of suffering indigo planters as one of his first Civil Disobedience Movement against the British.
