George Bush leaves for Hyderabad on a brief visit
New Delhi, Mar 3: United States (US) President George W Bush today (Mar 3, 2006) left for Hyderabad on a brief visit to attend a couple of functions in the city, including a visit to Acharya N G Ranga Agricultural University (ANGRAU) and the Indian School of Business.
On arrival at the Hyderabad airport, Mr Bush will be received by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy and Chief Secretary T K Dewan. Eminent agriculture scientist Dr M S Swaminathan and Nobel prize winner Dr Norman Borlaug would be present along with Dr Reddy at the airport.
During the 90-minute visit to the University, Mr Bush would interact with a select group of scientists, farmers and women from self-help groups.
The US President will be returning to the national capital in the afternoon and will address the intelligentsia at a function at Purana Quila (Old Fort).
