K'taka Council adjourned to March 16
Bangalore, Mar 3 (UNI) The Karnataka Legislative Council was today adjourned to March 16, after a turbulent session in which the Governor's address to the joint session of the Legislature was in the eye of a storm.
In the post-lunch session, the House took up discussion on the Governor's second address delivered on February 24. The discussion was initiated by Mr Balkrishna Bhatt (BJP).
It may be recalled that Chairman V R Sudarshan had ruled the Governor's first address on January 19 ''infructuous'' and allowed only a discussion on the second address and not a motion of thanks.
Earlier, the House rejected the Karnataka Appropriation Bill 2006.
