Healthy rise in A Birla group's cement production, despatches

Mumbai, Mar 2 (UNI) The Aditya Birla group's cement production during the last month has expanded by 13.34 per cent at 25.24 lakh metric tonnes while despatches have increased by 16.06 per cent at 25.35 lakh metric tonnes.

Its cement production from April last year to last moth increased by 8.36 per cent at 257.28 lakh metric tonnes, as against 237.43 lakh metric tonnes for the corresponding period last fiscal year, a release issued here today said.

The group's despatches also went up by 8.63 per cent at 257.24 lakh metric tonnes in the same period, as against 236.79 lakh metric tonnes attained during the same period last fiscal.
