Four sentenced to life for 2001 murder

Gonda, Mar 3 (UNI) A District Court here has sentenced four person to life imprisonment in a 2001 murder case, alongwith a fine of Rs 10,000 each.

According to prosecution, Sheshmani, Lalmani, Suryamani and Chadramani, had murdered Sanwal Prasad in the Bhumaicha village here on May 17, 2001, following a dispute over felling of a tree.

Additional District and Sessions Judge (Fifth) S S Rajbanshi, taking into acccount the witnesses and other evidence, yesterday, held the four accused guilty for the crime and sentenced them to life imprisonment alongwith a fine of Rs 10,000 each, prosecution added.
