DMK chief authorised to continue talks with allies
Tiruchirapalli, Mar 3 (UNI) The General Council of the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) today authorised party President M Karunanidhi to continue talks with allies and finalise seat sharing agreement for the coming electons to Tamil Nadu Assembly.
Though on the final day of the state conference, the DMK was expected to announce the seat-sharing agreements, the General Council, which met here this morning, in a special resolution, said since talks were not completed, Mr Karunanidhi could continue the parleys.
The resolution said the seat sharing talks were going on with the Congress, the PMK, the MDMK, the CPI (M), the CPI and the IUML.
