DGP warns protestors against flying balloons and kites

Hyderabad, Mar 2 (UNI) Andhra Pradesh Director-General of Police Swarnajit Sen, has warned ''mischievous elements'' planning to release hydrogen balloons into the sky or fly kites which may endanger or interfere with aircraft, especially during the visit of the US President George W Bush tomorrow.

The state police chief held a high level meeting to review the security arrangements made for the US President's visit which was attended by the DGP (Law&Order), Additional DGP (Intelligence), Commissioners of Police (Hyderabad and Cyberabad) and other focal officers concerned with the security arrangements.

Detailed discussions were held and officers were instructed to tie-up loose ends, if any, that may incidentally occur during the visit.

The DGP has appealed to all sections to keep away from any action, which may result in unsettling the prevailing harmonious law and order situation in the state.

Flying of kites or balloons are strictly prohibited during the day-time tomorrow and strict action taken against those who breach these directions, a DGP office release said today.
