Communists, Muslims protest Bush visit
Hyderabad, Mar 3 (UNI) The Communist parties today held a massive rally protesting against the visit of the US President George W Bush in the city, waving red flags and many wearing black shirts with slogans ''Bush go back''.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen(AIMIM) and Majlis Bachavo Tehareeq (MBT) called a bandh, which was total in the old city.
Despite the ban imposed by the state police on the release of hydrogen-filled black balloons and flying black kites, Darsgah Jehad-o-Shahadat (DJS) released thousands of black balloons from 200 spots in the city.
Mr Mahaboob Ali, President of the DJS told persons that his organisation believed that Bush was the most cruel terrorist in the world. He also alleged that Bush was a war-monger and the worst communalist.
There was tension in the Old City after the Friday prayers when Muslims defied the strong posse of police personnel including CRPF men deployed in the area.
The procession of the Communists which started from the 'Sundaraiah Vignana Bhavan' passed off peacefully.
